Many who embark on a journey of wellness and health, find out all kinds of interesting bits and pieces of information. As I share information, keep in mind, I am not a professional nutritionist, fitness guru, trainer, chef or otherwise. I am an everyday person who was diagnosed with MS at age 49 and I am working to fight it's progression one day at a time. Here are the stories of my life. Maybe you'll like 'em and maybe you won't. But my hope is, someone, somewhere is googling, like I did when I was first diagnosed with MS and so desperately needed information - and here you might find a little hope. Perhaps some nugget of something, that makes the googling worth it and maybe helps to chase some fears away and get some sleep.
Welcome to my HOOG!

Hooping my way to Iowa and terry wahls

I decided that while my summer is often about paddle boarding, visiting with family and having fun - This year I was not leaving hooping behind my in Florida.

I decided that I would put my self out there with my hula hoop and hoop with people along the way.

Between yesterday and today - event number one on my way to Terry Wahls has been put into place. I am hanging out with family in Syracuse, IN on Lake Wawasee for a month. I have been coming to this lake for over 20 years.

Yesterday I was driving by Lakeside Fitness Club and turned around and pulled into their parking lot. I did not have any thing with me. No hoops, no business cards, nothing! I just thought, I am here for a month, maybe the club owners would be interested in Hoola Fit Classes.

I walked in, totally out of my comfort zone, said Hello! I introduced myself and shared information about hoop fitness with the nice desk person Aubrey. I had the opportunity to introduce myself to one of the owners briefly.  I got a call and a text, met Resa with Lakeside Fitness and am offering 4 classes with them this summer.

I am super happy to be spreading the hoop happiness as I am traveling to Iowa this summer.

In Iowa, I am attending Terry Wahls Seminar 2017 in Cedar Rapids, IA. I am also speaking at that event regarding my MS journey and finding movement with hooping. I will also have hoops with me so people attending the seminar, will have the opportunity to try hoops out and assess what size is best for them to hoop with.

Can I just say, I keep pinching myself, because I am actually doing something with my hero Terry Wahls!
